Orgametril contains lynestrenol a substance similar to the natural hormone progesterone. Progesterone-like substances such as those in Orgametril are often prescribed for disorders of the menstrual cycle. In addition Orgametril can be prescribed: -in addition to estrogen therapy during or after menopause. -in the treatment of cancer of the uterine lining. -in endometriosis (a condition of proliferating uterine lining outside the uterus). -to suppress ovulation (ovulation) or menstruation. -to delay menstruation.
